Looking to check off some dreams on your life bucket list? Why not sooner rather than later?
Join me and 8 fellow Italo-philes as we sample the best food and wine best that Tuscany has to offer.
We will be staying at the Villa Tribbio from October 21st - October 28th, just outside the charming village of San Giovanni d'Asso, home of the truffle museum, and the famous woodsy work of art, the Bosco della Ragnaia.
Our proposed itinerary:
October 21: Meet up in Florence and head to San Giovanni d'Asso.
October 22: Explore the village and the bosco, with dinner prepared by a local chef.
October 23: Visit to the Etruscan hilltown of Cortona with olive oil and wine tasting.
October 24: Excursion and dinner to Grosseto, Assisi, Volterra, Todi, or San Gimignano.
October 25: Day and evening in Siena to wander freely and gather for a cooking class and dinner at 4 pm.
October 26: Truffle hunt with professional hunter Paolo and his dog Milli, and tour of truffle museum.
October 27: We head to Panzano in Chianti, where we feast at Dario Cecchini's world-famous butcher shop and restaurant, Solociccia.
October 28: We say goodbye in Florence
